Juan José Peralta Escoto, 60, was shot dead yesterday May 16. His son Juan José Peralta and another cooperativist Antonio Vélez, were severely injured in the same attack, also by gunfire shot from a passing vehicle.
The three belong to farming cooperatives of Bajo Aguán, opposed by the big landowners, pillars of the fascist regime.
Instead of arresting the muderers, military and police forces arrested a number of cooperativist farmers for about two hours without any reason nor legal authorization.
