Gasteiz marched against fracking yesterday

Fracking is the alteration of the structure of rock layers by pressurized water in order to extract natural gas (most commonly). While it began in the USA, causing many problems to citizens who ended up with flammable gas in their tap water and what not, it has already arrived to Europe as well.

One of the target zones is in the Southern Basque Country. As response, the citizens of Vitoria-Gasteiz marched yesterday against the project in large numbers.
