Huge stinky chemical cloud floating over France and England

A leak at a chemical plant in Rouen (France) has caused a huge cloud that smells of rotten eggs. While the French authorities claim it's harmless, people in the Normand city are already complaining of migraines, irritation and nausea. London authorities recommend to keep windows closed.

Lubrizol, the company owner of the leaking facility, claims it is methanethiol, a gas that smells to rotten cabbages and that is responsible for bad breath in human metabolism. In industry it is used mostly to give some smell to gases otherwise hard to detect.

Hopefully it will be as harmless as authorities say but nobody seems able to prevent the stench, a major nuisance in any case. The cloud has reached as far as Paris and London already.
