Iberia fires workers for strike

14 air crew, including notable union members, have been fired from Spanish air company Iberia for calling for and taking part in a strike of 27 days earlier this year.

The company considers that the strike was "illegal", argument backed by the Spanish political tribunal Audiencia Nacional (alias the Inquisition). This seems a major attack against the right to strike in the state of Spain and suggests that more and more worker struggles will be forced to operate at the margins of the law or even out of it altogether.
