Tokyo City councilor who measured radiation in parks murdered

Takashi Kabayama, councilor of Tokyo (LDP), was found dead on January 7th with a plastic bag on his head. Against all logic, in an act of obvious complicity, police ruled suicide.

Kabayama had been measuring radiation through Tokyo and found that in some public parks (Mizumoto specifically) was equivalent to that of the Chernobyl no-go zone (1.48 million Bq/m²).

The news has only now been known in languages other than Japanese, thanks to Fukushima Diary (link 1, link 2).
