USA: nuclear plant shut down on leaks

The Palisades nuclear power plant (Michigan, not too far from Chicago) has been shut down because of dangerous leaks.

Source: EneNews, citing other media.

As time passes the old nukes are all bound to become a costly source of problems that will surely be in all cases much more trouble than all the energy they generated ever. Even after decommission, nukes are a serious problem and must be kept under watch forever.

Update: authorities acknowledged 79 gallons (some 300 liters)  of "slightly radioactive" water released to Lake Michigan. → EneNews.
