The documentary was part of a wider resarch journalism effort by Al Jazeera, the public TV of Qatar, which also included a documentary on the British Zionist Lobby and how it influences British politics, quite interesting to watch (I'll see if I can find the link later on). While the British part of the research was published without restrictions, the US part was censored by the Qatari government and never released by Al Jazeera.
However now the full documentary has been leaked and made available by the Electronic Intifada website. Thanks also to The Real News for making me aware of this important must-watch revelation.

NATO's Auditor General murdered while investigating finances of terrorism
Chandelon and NATO flag
Yves Chandelon probably step a bit to deep into the shadow government of NATO, loosely known as Gladio Network, never dismantled nor properly investigated and seemingly each day more aggressive and totalitarian.
The high accountant was found over 62 miles from Lens, the city where he lived — and nearly 87 miles from his place of work in Luxembourg. Chandelon also owned three registered firearms, but an unregistered weapon was discovered near his body, reports Global Research, echoing the Free Thought Project.
... more bizarrely it has been reported locally that the gun which killed him was found in the glovebox of the vehicle, says the Daily Express.
It is a clear case of murder with a poor pretense for "suicide".
Most likely the Auditor General found who was actually financing the terror attacks in Germany and France that have shattered Europe in the last months, and probably these were the very same "deep state" of NATO that finances DAESH and Al Qaeda terrorist networks in Syria and fascist criminals in Ukraine. And quite probably he was ready to report, to speak out, else he would have been spared (no need to call attention unless you must... or are a lousy criminal).
Of course, these conclusions are provisional and speculative but we do have hints in strange circumstances surrounding the terrorist attacks on French soil particularly, and we also know for sure that it has been NATO and its satellites who have financed the terrorist in Syria and Iraq, as well as in Ukraine and the almost forgotten Yemen war. He might know too much about who ordered the murder of the Russian ambassador in Turkey this week, we can't be sure of what exactly he found but it's a clear case of destroying evidence, of silencing a potential whistleblower, as has happened way too often in the past, from Petra Kelly to Michael Hastings.
We live in a dictatorship with a pretense of "democracy", a pretense that is every day shallower and less credible, because the "deep state" is precisely pushing hard in favor of a police state at all levels, of monolithic mass media and of everything being subservient to the NATO-ist imperial project.

Saudi Arabia secrets exposed
I committed the funny mistake of reading the RT header of these revelations right after reading the last page of Curvy (great "adult" comic!) and in my mind it first resonated as "erotic and seductive dictatorship", instead of "erratic and secretive dictatorship", go figure!
Subliminal self-inflicted jokes apart, Saudi Arabia is a most serious matter. The (oligarch-controlled) media take a lot of time attacking North Korea (a real dictatorship), Russia (not worse than most Western states) or Venezuela (one of the most democratic states on Earth) but they invariably ignore Saudi Arabia, Israel and other terrorist tyrannies just because they are allied with the US Empire.
A Yemeni hacker group (Yemeni Cyber Army) has managed to obtain a long list of secret documents from the most secretive and totalitarian state on Earth. So far they are only available in Arabic, so I cannot comment (as I barely know a few words in this language) but I am sure that Arabic-speakers, of which there are billions, will be most interested in reading and exposing the secret deals of the original Islamist Fascist regime, to which all other Islamists are nothing but imitators.

And the crossword solution was... Afghanistan (naturally)
Not so hard to guess, really. As I suggested on Wednesday, the country, other than Bahamas, where the USA is taping all data calls content (as of 2012) is Afghanistan.

Guess the ~12 letter name country whose phone calls are fully recorded by NSA
The Interecept recently published an article, based on Wikileaks information, where it was explained that (at least) three sovereign states (Mexico, Philippines and Kenya) have 100% of their phone calls metadata collected by the USA, while other two have 100% of their full fall calls available for them for at least 30 days.
One of those is named, Bahamas, but, for mysterious reasons, the magazine decided to hide a second country's under the same extreme telephone control, claiming that it "could lead to increased violence".
Wikileaks strongly disagrees with that argument, claiming, surely with great reason, that truth never harmed the innocent, and has given The Intercept a 72 hours deadline for the publication of the censored country name. Otherwise they will make it public themselves.
Meanwhile we can play crossword puzzles, or something like that.
![]() |
Image from TI, originally NSA document, with a country name censored
Something I immediately noticed is that the censor's mark size is a huge clue. Try measuring it with a ruler and compare with "Bahamas". It is significantly larger 25-to-18-ratio (in mm at my screen resolution). You have to take out one or two blank spaces and consider that the capital letter is twice the size of regular ones. Also some letters like m, w, i or l have greater or smaller widths, so it's not so easy but my estimate is that the redacted country has a name of around 12 letters.
That basically excludes nearly all America and in fact most country names, which are way too short. So which country may it be?
With the help of a crossword puzzle guide, I gather the following candidates:
12 letter category:
- Great Britain (actually 13 with the blank space, it also has two capitals but short characters may compensate for that)
- United States (discarded because it is supposed to be foreign).
- Turkmenistan
- St Kitts-Nevis (sic)
- Guinea-Bissau
- New Caledonia (a French colony, not likely either)
Of these I consider seriously Great Britain and Turkmenistan. The rest seem much less likely.
11 letter category:
- Afghanistan (a very likely candidate, if you ask me)
- Saudi Arabia (12 with the blank space, why not?)
- Philippines (discarded because it is in another phone-tapping category)
- Netherlands
- Switzerland
- South Africa (12 with the blank space)
- Sierra Leone (same)
- Burkina Faso (same)
- Vatican City (usually written The Vatican - similar width though)
Afghanistan is my number one candidate because of several contextual cues but Saudi Arabia and most of the others are plausible anyhow.
13 letter category:
Liechtenstein is the only one without an intermediate space and/or requiring a "the" before the name (would be too long).
10 letter category (just to be sure):
Lots:
- Azerbaijan
- Bangladesh
- El Salvador (space and two capitals)
- Ivory Coast (same)
- Kazakhstan
- Kyrgyzstan
- Luxembourg
- Madagascar
- Mauritania
- Micronesia
- Montenegro
- Mozambique
- New Zealand (space and two capitals)
- North Korea (same)
- Puerto Rico (unlikely for the same reason as United States)
- Seychelles
- South Korea (double name again)
- South Sudan
- Tajikistan
- Uzbekistan
The main interest here seems to be that key Central Asian countries are included, as well as some prominent West Pacific countries (both US allies and hostiles).
As I said above, my best tentative candidate is Afghanistan. Why? Because of TI references to increased violence risk and Wikileaks accusations of "racism". I'd say from that it's not a European country nor a stable one, so Afghanistan seems a most likely candidate and one to which the US secret services would have easy access because of 12 years of continued occupation.
Update: the optimal fits:
Copy-pasted from a formatted word editor (the xx- characters try to approximate the missing letter-space and blank space). I used Times New Roman, which seems to be the actual type. Much longer than Bahamasxx- and it's not it, shorter than Bahamasxx and it's not it either.
Bahamasxx-AfghanistanSaudi ArabiaGreat Britain
I have already explained why I think that Afghanistan has by far the greatest chances to be the one: opposed claims of increased violence risk and racism, as well as the fact that the country has been occupied by the USA (and allies) for more than a decade, make it almost default.
Both Great Britain and Saudi Arabia are also "main suspects" because of their particularly important role in the US Empire. However Great Britain at least does not seem to fit the context of the Wikileaks-IT allegations. On the other hand, it does have a history of being extremely subservient to US whims, even deporting its own citizens to the North American republic, and does not have a formal legal system of human rights, as it is a chartered parliamentary kingdom and not a constitutional state, with many laws dating to centuries ago.
Saudi Arabia fits somewhat more in the discussion context than Britain and is equally subservient to US diktats. Being the most totalitarian state on Earth, it has no human rights whatsoever.

Turkish government blocks YouTube afer leak showing plans to frame up Syria into a casus belli
After banning Twitter it was already speculated that the next in line in Erdogan's fascist spree of repression would be YouTube, because it was the main window to what is happening in the country.
Therefore this development would not come as surprise, except for the direct trigger: a conversation between three top Turkish officers on framing up Syria into a casus belli in order to invade the Arab country.
The video has already been deleted from YouTube (why? Uncle Sam's long hand obviously) but the transcription is as follows:
![]() |
(from Russia Today)
So Turkey's beleaguered Islamist PM Erdogan is looking for a pretext to invade Syria, what in this conversation is transmitted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Davutoglu.
Let's remember that Syria is a secularist modern state, similar to what Turkey used to be before Erdogan, and that relations between both states used to be good.
Let's remember that it was not Syria but Israel which actually made an act of piracy against the peaceful humanitarian Turkish ship Mavi Marmara, murdering several Turks and injuring many others. There you have an spontaneous casus belli, not just for Turkey but for all NATO (the ship is Turkish territory and it was in the area guaranteed by NATO, north of the Tropic of Cancer).
So the Chief Spy Fidan has a plan: send some Turkish spies to bomb some Kurdish border village or whatever is needed to create the pretext. The Deputy Chief of Staff Guler seems to back the idea.
So the Deputy Foreign Minister Sinirlioglu doesn't seem too happy about how the "national security" has become a mere pretext for Erdogan's pathetic and corrupt domestic policies. Guess who may get fired for thinking too much?
We seldom see from so close the way key political and in this case war and false-flag attack decisions are made. We are bound to look back over what has happened and try to deduce some logic out of it and whatever evidence the powerful wrongdoers may have left.
Naturally if you do, you're often insulted as "conspiranoid". Well conspirations happen and much more often than we appreciate. By this I do not mean that every conspiration theory floating around is just right but that we can't decide without looking first at the evidence. As I learned from my father, who grew up under Fascism, one must read "between lines" and not literally in order to understand, in other words: one must discern the hidden meaning behind the propaganda we have for breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday. This is not easy and requires training and, to some extent at least, a sharp mind.
The Deep State is real, call it Gladio, call it Ergenekon, call it CIA/NSA/HS or call it just your usual elite-serving and self-serving political and military elite.
World Word III risk
No kidding. Turkey intervening in Syria would most likely cause a war spiral: Iran no doubt would back Syria right away and Russia, so extremely pressed with the Ukranian putsch, will feel the need and opportunity to intervene here or there, backed by its huge nuclear arsenal, which is probably the only one matching Washington's.
Turkey is a NATO member and in this case NATO would have no qualms to intervene, unlike what happened with the Mavi Marmara (which was a genuine casus belli). The hawks in the USA and Europe alike have been looking for a pretext to attack Syria for a long time. So this can quickly spiral out of control into a nuclear war.
No kidding, really.
In fact we are probably now more at risk of nuclear war than almost any time during the Cold War. And mostly we can blame US-led aggressive imperialism for it (it's Syria but also Ukraine and the overall Brzynski plan to besiege both Russia and China in Eurasia. Plan for which the interventions in Iraq and Afghanistan are key spearheads, as well as the incorporation of much of Eastern Europe into NATO and EU.
What happens with YouTube and Twitter?
An Ankara court has supported Twitter appeal against the Turkish decision to block it, however the authorities have a whole month to comply, what means that the social media will most likely be unavailable for the local elections of March 30, which may well be a major defeat for Erdogan's fundamentalists, judging on the state of massive uprising that the country is since last year.
In any case, if the false flag attack is performed and there is intervention against Syria and, as I forecast, the situation spirals into generalized war, forget about freedom of speech at all in the Internet as in any other media. We will all have to resort to TOR encryption and IP hiding systems and even then we will be persecuted by the Gestapo, whatever its new name may be.
The first victim of any war is always freedom of speech.

Hacked Pentagon emails show USA behind Syria "massacre"
"Massacre" that, as discussed previously in greater detail, was a farce, with drugged children being presented as victims while someone talked in the background on how well would that look in Al Jazeera and the CNN.
The hacked emails show Colonel Anthony J. McDonald and Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (whatever that means) Mary Shapiro implicated in the warmongering farce.
In one email someone by the name of Eugene P. Furst congratulates Col. McDonald for their psy-op in Damascus:
I don't know who he is but a quick search shows that there are only five people named Eugene Furst in the USA and, of them, one man aged 40-44 named exactly Eugene P. Furst lives in Arlington Virginia, where the Pentagon (and many other US government and military facilities) is. To be even more precise his address is:
5211 N Carlin Springs Rd Arlington, VA 22203-1333
Maybe some local knows what this means (oh, yeah, not just the NSA can use the Internet for a revealing search!)
In other two emails to Jennifer McDonald (wife of the former), Mary Shapiro worries about those poor Syrian kids but Mrs McDonald explains that:
... Tony [Col. Anthony J. McDonald] comforted me. He said the kids weren't hurt, it was done for the cameras. So don't worry, my dear.

USA: amnesty calls begin as soon as Manning is sentenced to 35 years
Whistleblower Bradley Manning was sentenced today by an opaque military court to 35 years of prison.
As soon as the sentence was known, the Bradley Manning Support Campaign began a signature collection to ask the President for a pardon. Meanwhile Amnesty International asked Obama to commute the sentence to time served. They say:
Instead of fighting tooth and nail to lock him up for several decades, the US government should turn its attention to investigating and delivering justice for the serious human rights abuses committed by its officials in the name of countering terror.

LOLSpain: government sues Anonymous
This one goes in the category humor, no doubt. The reactionary People's Party (PP) in power in Spain with a mere 10 million votes (and quickly declining to a trickle) has reacted to the diffusion by Anonymous of the "Bárcenas papers", which reveal double accountancy, systematic bribes by constructors and illegal over-salaries to ministers, by suing them[es].
The documents mostly reveal the double accountancy practices of the hyper-corrupt party but there are also lists of their affiliates and party workers with all the relevant data (ID number, address, phone numbers, bank accounts, etc.)
Without even a smirk the beleaguered PP attorneys sued Anonymous for a crime of revelation of secrets. By doing this they admit that the papers are real and therefore all them are criminals.
As for Anonymous, you know: "we are legion".
I was recently discussing the issue of NSA surveillance and all that and my argument goes in the sense that, per the unwritten Book of Chaos, total control is impossible no matter how hard they try, what in this case applies in the form of so much information, yet so few brains and computer power to parse it. You can't cage Chaos: you lost before you even tried.
As the besieged ministers repeat once and again: this damages the Spain brand. I hope it does, Mr. Minister, death to Spain!
PS- At the time of posting this I do not know yet where to find the Anonymous leak, but I will update as soon as I have it.
Update (Jul 12): while there is an alleged torrent file at The Pirate Bay, this one is in fact an executable (.exe instead of .torrent) so I don't feel safe downloading it.
However Diagonal newspaper has created a wiki to parse and analyze all the data (excepted the illegal personal data). This seems to me the safest reference so far (h/t to Javier).
Diagonal has also a series of dedicated articles (in Spanish):

The Empire forces Bolivian Presidential airplane to land in Vienna, evidencing its totalitarianism
In the most scandalous diplomatic incident since there is any sort of international law, the Presidential airplane of Evo Morales was forced to land in Vienna yesterday night.
The versions so far contradict each other in the details but it seems that:
- France, Italy and Portugal did not allow the airplane to cross their air space.
- Spain allowed the transit only on the condition that it stopped in Canary Islands to be subject to military registry. Later it also forbade the transit altogether.
- It is unclear by now if the landing in Austria was a mere emergency landing for lack of other options or if it was forced by the military of that country. What is clear is that the Austrian authorities searched the airplane thoroughly in clear violation of international law.
- By this time France and Portugal first and Spain later on have already lifted the flight ban, obviously after getting the approval of Washington.
The only comparable (actually worse) violations of International Law in recent times have been the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq by the USA (and vassals), in which no declaration of war was ever made. Excluding undeclared wars, we really have to dig in examples of very ancient times like the imprisonment of Richard Lionheart in Germany or the kidnapping, deceit and murder of Atahualpa by Pizarro.
And which is the pretext, the trigger of this unbelievable violation of sovereignty? The mere suspicion that whistleblower Edward J. Snowden might have traveled in that aircraft.
The Empire of Terror versus Chaos and Freedom
Gladio ensign
Why is the Empire, not just the USA but also its boot-licking European vassals, so extremely overreacting, not even doubting to show their darkest Gestapo sewers' reality as a few individuals like Julian Assange or Edward Snowden challenge their secretive core in demand of transparency, of freedom of information, of democracy?
As I see it, the reason is that the secrets that have surfaced are just the tip of the iceberg: there is much more to hide like, for example, all the Gladio network of terrorist-spies that acts as underground government through NATO and some other associated countries, the fact that the Al Qaeda is nothing but an imperial sockpuppet or the truth of 9-11 (and many other "terror attacks") being actually false-flag self-attacks.
Most people even today refuse to believe, in spite of all the evidence, that the 9-11 attacks were performed by the USA itself, as a self-coup to impel the imperial totalitarianism both inside and outside its borders, serving as pretext for military invasions outside and emergency rule inside. But what if papers demonstrating this or other similarly outraging maneuvers would come to light? What if internal evidence shows beyond any doubts that we do not live in "democracies" but in fascist regimes with a mere formal varnish, that we are ruled by a terrorist mafia?
The Empire is therefore most nervous and is sending a clear signal to all would-be whistleblowers and researchers of the "deep state" to cower in fear: we will persecute you everywhere in the World, just like Rome did with Hannibal.
Of course many others are just silently killed in "accidents", "suicide" in jail by hanging with their hands tied to their back, or, as happened to Petra Kelly and her husband (former NATO general Gert Bastian) are shot in the most mysterious circumstances and police decrees it was "domestic violence". Other less important ones may lose their jobs, as happened to a CNT research journalist and librarian when she researched the Gladio network in the context of Spain, or, many years before her, Interviú journalists who dared to do the same.
The shadow of Gladio, the "deep empire" is long and merciless. But then there are billions living precarious short lives on Earth, and many feel the need to do better than being cowardly accomplices of this machinery of terror... and the Empire cannot silence them all. This is surely the case of Snowden, who in spite of all, must feel he is for the first time in his life doing what he must, filling his existence with a wider meaning.
No, Chaos science does not allow for a perfect order in which everything is under totalitarian control forever, as in '1984': one gap after another will tear the dark curtain to rags. Such nightmare can only be a provisional situation, much more in the extremely complex and information-rich society we live in.

Update on whistleblowers: Snowden missing, Manning's mock-trial transcripts
It has been reported that US NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden has disappeared after his asylum request in Hong Kong. It is unclear at this moment if Snowden is in hiding, he has been kidnapped or arrested by Chinese police. He was last seen yesterday at noon, when he checked out of a luxury hotel in the semi-autonomous Chinese city. Hong Kong has an extradition treaty with the USA since 1998.
Both Julian Assange (Wikileaks' leader, refuged in Ecuador's embassy since a year ago) and Daniel Ellsberg (who leaked the Pentagon Papers back in the 1970s) have issued separate communications in solidarity with Snowden.
Assange declared that:
Edward Snowden is a hero who has informed the public about one of the most serious events of the decade, which was the creeping formulation of a mass surveillance state.
Ellsberg wrote an article at The Guardian in which he said, among other things that:
In my estimation, there has not been in American history a more important leak than Edward Snowden's release of NSA material – and that definitely includes the Pentagon Papers 40 years ago. Snowden's whistleblowing gives us the possibility to roll back a key part of what has amounted to an "executive coup" against the US constitution.
And also:
... what is not legitimate is to use a secrecy system to hide programs that are blatantly unconstitutional in their breadth and potential abuse.

Manning's mock trial transcripts:
The Freedom of the Press Foundation is making a major effort to independently transcript the military trial against Bradley Manning (official transcripts are not available to the public). They explain:
The US military has refused to release transcripts of Bradley Manning's trial. In addition, they've denied press passes to 270 out of the 350 media organizations that applied. Without public transcripts or a press pass, it's virtually impossible for media organizations to accurately cover the trial and for the public to know what the government is doing in its name.
In response, Freedom of the Press Foundation has crowd-sourced funding to place a professional stenographer in the media room covering the trial. We will post full transcripts shortly after each day's proceedings end. The morning session with be posted by 7 pm the same evening. The afternoon session will be posted by 9 am the next morning. The transcripts will be released under an Attribution 3.0 Unported Creative Commons license.
Depending on how long the trial lasts, transcriptions will cost between $60,000-120,000, so please help support this project by going here to donate.
The transcripts are freely available HERE.

NSA whistleblower exiles himself in Hong Kong
Edward Snowden, who allowed his identity to be published, is seeking refuge in Hong Kong (China). It remains to be seen how keen are the equally autocratic Chinese authorities to have him in their soil.
An extensive interview is available at The Guardian (which was also the paper reporting the extensive surveillance network in the USA and abroad). Excerpts:
The NSA has built an infrastructure that allows it to intercept almost everything. With this capability, the vast majority of human communications are automatically ingested without targeting. If I wanted to see your emails or your wife's phone, all I have to do is use intercepts. I can get your emails, passwords, phone records, credit cards.
I don't want to live in a society that does these sort of things … I do not want to live in a world where everything I do and say is recorded. That is not something I am willing to support or live under.
...
Manning was a classic whistleblower. He was inspired by the public good.
...
I think it is really tragic that an American has to move to a place that has a reputation for less freedom. Still, Hong Kong has a reputation for freedom in spite of the People's Republic of China. It has a strong tradition of free speech.
...
Someone responding to the story said 'real spies do not speak like that'. Well, I am a spy and that is how they talk. Whenever we had a debate in the office on how to handle crimes, they do not defend due process – they defend decisive action. They say it is better to kick someone out of a plane than let these people have a day in court. It is an authoritarian mindset in general.
...
The only thing I can do is sit here and hope the Hong Kong government does not deport me … My predisposition is to seek asylum in a country with shared values. The nation that most encompasses this is Iceland. They stood up for people over internet freedom. I have no idea what my future is going to be.

Greece: journalist jailed for publishing list of tax evaders
C. Vaxevanis
Costas Vaxevanis was jailed today for daring to publish the list of 1991 tax evaders with large accounts in Switzerland. The so-called "Lagarde List" had been sitting for two years in the Prime Minister's office without any of them (neither Papandreou, nor Papademos, nor Samaras) doing anything on the matter.
While the rotten capitalist tax evaders get away with impunity, those who dare to expose them are jailed overnight.
And they call it democracy, what in Greek comes to mean people's power... how ironic!
Sources: Occupied London - From the Greek Streets, Greek Reporter (link 1, link 2).
Update: In a video filmed soon before arrest, Costas Vaxevanis explains how police action against him preceded the judicial order of arrest. He defends that the publishing of the list is wholly legal because he did not publish any single money amount, just stating that these are the citizens in the Lagarde List and their banks.

Anonymous sets up financial whistleblower site
We all know that the world of business is full of crimes, from bribery to "creative accountancy", from extortion and cronyism to murder. However very little of that is ever known and that's because reporting it will probably destroy someone's career.
For that reason some members of the loose hacker club Anonymous have set up Anonymous Analytics, a Wikileaks of sorts focused on finance, where you can report your corrupt boss or your extortionist undesired partner without fear of repression. Let the party begin!

Hackers raid Nazi sites in the USA
Nazi, white supremacist, fascist, KKK... all the various tags for the same bunch of dangerous idiots, were taken down by a group of hackers organized under the Antifa tag, who claim to have done the feat in revenge for the Nazi aggressions.
The result, besides taking them down temporarily, is a large hoard of emails and other personal data about the scum that joins and specially leads such organizations. The word scum is really appropriate because, as Hackbloc puts it:
The released private email correspondence reveals a number of embarrassing and often disturbing stories about top neo-nazi leaders in the US and is expected to cause infighting and disunion in the white supremacist scene. Some of the profiled Nazis were involved in the military, have been to prison for hate crimes, have raped or molested people, or are just plain racist losers - making one wonder why such a supposed “master race” attracts some sick and disturbed people to their movement.
The hoard of data is sure to cause some serious embarrassment and maybe infighting between the bonehead scum.
They are asking for mirror sites to distribute the materials.

Nazis attack five people in Murcia (Spain)
A gang of some ten Nazis from the MSR party attacked with pocket knives a group of people drinking at a terrace. One had to remain in hospital after being injured in the side, while four others also suffered less important cuts. Fortunately all them are out of danger.

Sibel Edmonds: leaks that do not make first pages (Bin Laden worked for the USA at least till 9-11-2001)
I sometimes regret being merely human and not having more time, more arms, more brains and specially more energies to dedicate to these most important matters of information on obscured but critical matters, such as the 9/11 criminal self-attack.
So I am not able to cover the Wikileaks "cablegate" or so many other important matters with the depth and extent they really deserve. One such critical matters is the 9/11 coup, whose consequences we are still suffering - but specially they are suffering in the USA (after Afghanistan and Iraq, whose status as main victims is unquestionable).
Sibel Edmonds
However I must mention here FBI whistleblower Sibel Edmonds, whose knowledge on the real 9/11 conspiracy (this is just not anymore a mere "conspiracy theory", as in hypothesis or conjecture but a true theory in the factual scientific sense backed by an impressive mountain of evidence, usually gagged by various means but still available for those who search for it).
She seems to be a key witness in the unofficial The People vs. the US Imperial Government in regard to 9/11 attacks and coup (increased repression and police control, as well as pretext for several imperialist wars, in a most corrupted scenery). For example, she says at a radio interview by Brad Blog (transcript at Let Sibel Edmonds Speak blog):
I know. For example, to say that since the fall of the Soviet Union we ceased all of our intimate relationship with Bin Laden and the Taliban - those things can be proven as lies, very easily, based on the information they classified in my case, because we did carry very intimate relationship with these people, and it involves Central Asia, all the way up to September 11.
This contradicts the official version that says that Bin Laden and his Al Qaeda terrorist organization are unrelated to the USA since the end of the Cold War, some ten years before the 9/11 attacks. This confirms that all the way up to 9/11 attacks, including the Kenya embassy bomb and some other notorious Al Qaeda-attributed attacks, the USA and Bin Laden were close friends, extending the network deep into Saudi Arabia and Turkey as well (oddly enough Israel seems to be never mentioned by Edmonds).
As I cannot go much further into this matter by the moment, what I'm doing is adding Edmonds' new blog to my blogroll list.
Internet-Labyrinth thread followed from Washington Blog: Pentagon Papers' Whistleblowers call for a new 9/11 investigation, where it is mentioned Ellsberg and Gravel emphasize that the testimony of Edmonds is more important maybe than all the Wikileaks cables and has the potential of bringing to jail core figures of the North American political establishment, specially from the Bush administration.

Wikileaks diplomatic cables cause mild rash at best
While I strongly favor the release of secret information, after all it is a matter of transparency, democracy and horizontality in information-sharing and decision-making, these cables are at best entertaining.
Quite frustrating is that the US policy is always depicted in positive light - miraculously so (woot, not even a "let's nuke those..." bravado?!), and Israel is also essentially unscathed, as are European leaders in general.
Instead the Arab panic and deep dislike of Iran and their use of the Palestinian, Lebanese and Iraqi conflicts as battleground for such quarrels, always leaning on a USA that seems reluctant to take adventuring steps, is very much highlighted, as is the drift of Turkey towards Iran and Russia.
I was a good deal of yesterday and tonight reading through some of the many thousands cables and here follow my first picks. But do not expect anything too revealing, except maybe the weakness of Egyptian and Arab governments in general and their reliance on the USA-Israel tandem for everything.
France about Russia - Sep 16 2009
Medvedev is mentioned often
Loras predicted that substantial Russian under-investment in energy extraction infrastructure was such that Russia would not be able to meet European demand in four or five years. He observed this created an opportunity for Russia to have even more leverage over a Europe that has not prepared to diversify its energy supplies.
Paris is closely watching Medvedev, who is more frequently taking public stances in opposition to Putin. Medvedev is more open to the occidental powers and more open to modernization and rule of law issues that Russia must face.
French President Sarkozy was "convinced" that Ukraine would one day be a member of NATO, but that there was no point in rushing the process and antagonizing Russia, particularly if the Ukrainian public was largely against membership.
Azerbaijan on Russia, Iran, Turkey - Feb 25 2010
Aliyev said that he considers Medvedev "a modern, new-generation intellectual," surrounded by people whom he does not control. He said that he has personally witnessed Medvedev taking decisions that then required further approval before they were implemented, referring specifically to a border demarcation agreement that he had agreed with Medvedev only to have it stymied by ""others,"" presumably in the prime ministerial office. He added, "Many high-ranking officials don't recognize (Medvedev) as a leader." He said that there are signs of a strong confrontation between the teams of the two men, although not yet between Putin and Medvedev personally. "We have a saying in Azeri, 'Two heads cannot be boiled in one pot'" (crude street slang suggesting that two leaders are spoiling for a fight).
He [Azeri President Aliyev] said that earlier sanctions [against Iran] observance had been spotty with many European energy companies working in Iran. "Statoil supports Iran more than it supports us!"
Aliyev said that Iranian provocations in Azerbaijan were on the rise.
He also professed to be worried that active Turkish-Russian cooperation could be one of the impediments to progress. He confided that Turkish Energy Minister Yildiz recently told the head the Azerbaijani State Oil Company, "Why do you want to ruin our relations with Russia? Do you really need Nabucco?" [a projected pipeline through Georgia of great interest for Azerbaijan as oil/gas exporter]
Aliyev made clear his distaste for the Erdogan government in Turkey, underscoring the "naivete" of their foreign policy and the failure of their initiatives, including the loss of support for Turkey among traditional international friends because of Ankara,s hostility to Israel.
Iran on Iraq (perceived as natural ally now that Baathism is gone) - Nov 13 2009
Iraq: regional battleground
Iraq, given its proximity to Iran and its shared Shia heritage, represents a vital foreign policy priority for the Iranian government's (IRIG) efforts to project its ideology and influence in the region. An economically dependent and politically subservient Iraq would foster greater strategic depth for Tehran. Iranian president Ahmadinejad has referred to Iraq in recent press statements as "a Shia base" confronting the broader menace perpetrated by those opposed to Iraq's identity and stability (i.e., Sunni states, the West).
… it is not uncommon for the IRIG to finance and support competing Shia, Kurdish, and to some extent, Sunni entities, with the aim of developing the Iraqi body politic's dependency on Tehran's largesse. While exact figures are unknown, Tehran's financial assistance to Iraqi surrogates is estimated at USD 100-200 million annually, with USD 70 million going to ISCI/Badr coffers.
Iran's worst-case election scenario (increasingly unrealistic) is a coup d'etat of former regime elements [Baathists] hostile to Tehran.
It is important to note that Iran's power in Iraq, although extensive, is not without limitations. The IRIG's greatest political roadblock remains the domineering authority and religious credibility embodied in Grand Ayatollah Ali Sistani. Despite his Iranian heritage, Sistani is Iraq's most revered Shia religious (and political) authority. A critic of Iran's "Velayet-e-Faqih" (rule of the jurisprudent) system of theocratic governance, Sistani's abstemious (aka Quietest school) approach to Shia politics has kept him well above the political fray while at the same time ensuring him significant impact on those rare occasions when he pronounces on politics.
US officer's (Hill's) comments on this situation (downplaying the importance of Iranian influence):
Iran views Iraq as a natural (and more junior) strategic partner. As a result, Iran will continue to flex its muscles to ensure it's strategic outcomes are met. This should not lead to alarmist tendencies or reactions on our part. The next Iraqi government will continue to cultivate close ties with Iran given long-standing historical realities that precede Iraq's ties with the United States. On the other hand, Iran's influence in Iraq should not be overestimated.
Our objective in Iraq should be less about countering all-things Iranian, and more about developing viable alternatives and approaches that gradually alter the 's political, economic, and social worldview. Development of viable international alternatives in Iraq is one of the most effective measures of countering Iranian ambitions and, ultimately, integrating Iraq as a constructive member of the international community.
Also, many different “grassroots” opinions (anonymized, from Najaf) on the Iraqi situation and the Iranian and Saudi interference in the country can be read at another cable (Dec 17 2009): http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/us-embassy-cables-documents/239665
Saudi oligarchs worried about being left defenseless in relation to Iran – Jan 28 2009
Arab leaders look weak, dependent
They suggested they may need to develop their own nuclear arsenal.
They are also concerned about environmental dangers derived from the nuclear reactor at Bushir, not just because it could wreak havoc in Saudi Arabia but also, they said in a warning tone, because it could disrupt global economy (i.e. oil extraction and traffick at the Persian Gulf).
"Please write this down. Whatever is discussed with the Iranians, we must be kept informed! Any negotiations with the Iranians must take into account the interests of Saudi Arabia, otherwise, we will not accept it! We should be told -- in advance! -- of what you plan to say."
Israel and Arabian feudal lords upset by Qatar and Al Jazeera public TV channel, suggested US withdraws from Qatar allowing a coup to proceed - Jul 26 2007
Dagan [Mossad chief Meir Dagan] characterized Qatar as "a real problem," and accused Sheikh Hamid of "annoying everyone." In his view, Qatar is trying to play all sides -- Syria, Iran, Hamas -- in an effort to achieve security and some degree of independence. "I think you should remove your bases from there...seriously," said Dagan. "They have confidence only because of the U.S. presence." Dagan predicted, with some humor, that al-Jazeera would be the next cause of war in the Middle East as some Arab leaders (specifically Saudi Arabia) are willing to take drastic steps to shut down the channel, and hold Sheikh Hamid personally responsible for its provocations.
Morocco's King Mohammed II is uniterested in governing (same cable)
Morocco is coping better with these issues "in spite of the king," said Dagan, who appears to take little interest in governing.
Israel supported more US military aid to Turkey's Military to counter Islamo-Democrats (same cable)
Dagan argued that if the Turkish military received more direct support from the United States, it would be better able to prevent the rise of Islamists.
Israeli fears (so many!) - July 30 2009
A/S Shapiro stressed the importance of the U.S-Israeli political-military relationship, noting the significance of visiting Israel on his first overseas trip in his capacity as Assistant Secretary for the Political-Military Affairs Bureau.
GOI officials reiterated the importance of maintaining Israel's Qualitative Military Edge (QME). They said that Israel understands U.S. policy intentions to arm moderate Arab states in the region to counter the Iranian threat, and prefers such sales originate from the United States instead of other countries like Russia or China. However, Israel continues to stress the importance of identifying potential risks that may become future threats or adversaries, and for this reason maintains several objections as indicated in the official response to the QME non-paper on potential U.S. arms sales to the region.
(S) GOI interlocutors attempted to make the argument that moderate Arab countries could in the future become adversaries -- and that this should be taken into account in the QME process. During a roundtable discussion led by the MFA's Deputy Director General for Strategic Affairs Alon Bar, the MFA's Center for Policy Research gave intelligence briefs on Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Lebanon to further support the argument that these countries could become future foes. Policy Research Center interlocutors reviewed succession concerns in both Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Bar argued that a perceived closure in the capability gap between Israel and Arab states, coupled with a nuclear-armed Iran, could compel moderate Arab states to reassess the notion that Israel was a fixture in the region.
Egypt looks unstable
(S) Typically frank, MOD Political-Military Chief Amos Gilad was not certain how much longer Egyptian President Mubarak would live, and questioned whether his son Gamal was ready to assume command. Gilad said the Egyptian military led by Defense Minister Tantawi continues to train and exercise as if "Israel was its only enemy." He added that there were disturbing signs on the Egyptian streets, as women are dressed more conservatively, and that peace with Israel "is too thin, too superficial." On Saudi Arabia, Gilad said that King Abdullah does not hate Israel, but his chief priority is the survival of the regime.
(S) The GOI official response to the arms transfer non-paper includes several objections, such as the potential transfer of systems for the F-15SA to Saudi Arabia, including the Enhanced Paveway II, Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System, and AESA radar. Buchris said the is ready to establish a working group to discuss the F-15SA transfer, and proposed an Israeli technical team accompany "> Heymann to Washington (in town for a missile defense meeting) on August 3 to discuss the issue further. Buchris said the sale of the F-15SA was not the problem, but rather the weapons systems included on the planes and the location of the planes in Saudi Arabia.
(S) The GOI remains concerned about U.S. arms transfers to the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), and has requested the opportunity to discuss further U.S. intentions regarding the LAF.
(S) Iran's pursuit of nuclear weapons remains the GOI's primary focus. Buchris stated bluntly that it was not clear to him where U.S. policy was heading with regard to Iran.
(S) Buchris referenced a press report from Secretary Clinton's trip to Jakarta in which she said the United States would consider providing a defense umbrella for moderate Arab countries in the Middle East should Iran acquire a nuclear weapon. Buchris argued that such a statement already conceded the idea of a nuclear-armed Iran.
(S) Buchris acknowledged that the Palestinian Authority was doing a "good job" in the West Bank (…) A/S Shapiro deferred to Special Envoy Sen. George Mitchell's efforts, but noted Secretary Clinton's point that a stronger PA will offer an alternative to Hamas.
Turkey and USA disagree on Iran – Nov 17 2009
Turkey on its own
Gordon pushed back that Ankara should give a stern public message about the consequences if UN resolutions are ignored. Davutoglu countered that Erdogan had given just such a statement in Tehran when he visited. He emphasized that Turkey's foreign policy is giving a "sense of justice" and a "sense of vision" to the region. Turkey has provided a "third option" in addition to Iran and the Saudis (who he contended are viewed as "puppets" of the US). The result, he said, is that we "limit Iranian influence in the region." We need a "pro-Western approach AND a sense of justice."
Italian and US foreign ministers on Iran, Israel - Feb 12 2010
He [Franco Frattini] expressed particular frustration with Ankara's "double game" of outreach to both Europe and Iran.
SecDef pointedly warned that urgent action is required. Without progress in the next few months, we risk nuclear proliferation in the Middle East, war prompted by an Israeli strike, or both. (…) Saudi Arabia is more important to both Beijing and Moscow than Iran.
Saudis ask USA to attack Iran – Apr 20 2008
Al-Jubeir recalled the King's frequent exhortations to the US to attack Iran and so put an end to its nuclear weapons program. "He told you to cut off the head of the snake," he recalled to the Charge', adding that working with the US to roll back Iranian influence in Iraq is a strategic priority for the King and his government.
Egypt besieges Gaza but does not want to be perceived as doing it – Feb 9 2009 (just after genocidal Cast Lead Zionist attack)
Mubarak besieges Gaza discretely
(S/NF) Egypt will not take any action that could be perceived as collaboration in Israel's siege of Gaza, and they have been hyper-sensitive to any suggestion that foreigners are assisting them or overseeing their efforts to counter smuggling. Aboul Gheit publicly distanced Egypt from our January MOU with Israel to combat arms smuggling into Gaza, although he knew about it in advance and consulted with Secretary Rice and me about its contents. The Egyptians do not want to be stuck holding the Gaza bag, and must be able to point the finger of blame at Israel for the plight of the Palestinians. At the same time, Egypt has withstood scathing and widespread criticism in the Arab world for refusing to open the Rafah border crossing to supply Gaza. Even during the height of the December fighting, the Egyptians only sent medicine and medical supplies through the Rafah border; all other humanitarian goods went through the Israeli crossing at Kerem Shalom. They likewise insist that Rafah will only reopen to handle Gazan travellers when the Gazan side is under PA control with EU observers according to the 2005 AMA.
(S/NF) President Mubarak told Senator Mitchell that he wanted to personally invite you to the March 2 Gaza Donors Conference in Cairo. Aboul Gheit will press hard for you to accept this invitation. He is keen to keep up the momentum on Gaza reconstruction and for Egypt to be seen as taking the lead in helping the Palestinians. It is very important to him that this conference be at the ministerial level, and he will be disappointed if you are unable to accept.
As for Iran, Mubarak has a visceral hatred for the Islamic Republic, referring repeatedly to Iranians as "liars," and denouncing them for seeking to destabilize Egypt and the region. He sees the Syrians and Qataris as sycophants to Tehran and liars themselves.
(S/NF) The greatest Egyptian outrage a year ago -- Congressional conditioning of $100 million of U.S. assistance to Egypt -- may now be moot, according to our latest understanding of the state of play with the FY2009 appropriations language. Beyond the issue of conditioning, the Egyptians resent the U.S. unilateral decision to cut ESF in half, from $415 million in FY-08 to $200 million in FY-09, a level which the Egyptians find embarrassing, not because they need the money (they say), but because it shows our diminished view of the value of our relationship.
(S/NF) Concerning military assistance, the Egyptian political and military leadership feel that they have been "short changed" by our holding to an FMF level of $1.3 billion, (the same level for 30 years despite inflation), and which they contrast with increases to our military assistance to Israel. Finally, Egypt seeks a higher profile in international financial circles (Finance Minister Youssef Boutros Ghali was recently named Chairman of the IMF's policy-setting committee, the IMFC, the first from a developing country), and Aboul Gheit is likely to ask for your support to include Egypt in expanded G8 and G20 fora.
The Amir of Qatar and US Senator Kerry - Feb 23 2010
The Amir of Qatar
The Amir advised the U.S. to continue trying to open a dialogue with the Iranian leadership. He also told Senator Kerry the U.S. needs to tell the Israelis they are causing the U.S. to lose the hearts and minds of Muslims. There was a time, such as during the Suez Canal crisis, when the Arabs loved the Americans and disliked the British and French, he said.
Senator Kerry asked the Amir how the U.S. goes about changing its reputation. The Amir said first and foremost the U.S. must do everything in its power to find a lasting solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and the best way to begin is by moving first on the Syrian track.
The Amir encouraged the U.S. to work the Golan Heights issue first. He stressed that Syrians are very different from Iranians in "mentality," and said the Syrians turned to Iran for support only because they had nowhere else to go. Now is the time, the Amir told Senator Kerry, to reach out to Damascus.
The Iranian regime is strong, continued the Amir, because President Ahmadinejad is uncorrupted. "That is the secret to his success." Khatami is also not corrupted, but as a reformer he is in a weak position. Rafsanjani, on the other hand, is corrupt.
Iran wants to be a "big power," agreed the Amir, but what sort? He reminded Senator Kerry the U.S. should not forget that Iranians are Persian and the U.S. needs to approach them in that framework.
The Amir closed the meeting by offering that based on 30 years of experience with the Iranians, they will give you 100 words. Trust only one of the 100.
UAE instead is persuaded that war with Iran is unavoidable at some level and that Iraq and Saudi Arabia are at risk (Feb 9 2010).
I understand that they try to seduce the USA to this position because they want the USA to help finance their army, but there may be more to that.
UAE: a key base for USA
(S/NF) The UAE is one of our closest partners in the Middle East and one of our most useful friends worldwide.
-- Al-Dhafra Air Force Base is the high altitude ISR hub for the AOR, and supports 50 percent of aerial refueling in the AOR.
-- Ports in Dubai and Fujairah are the logistics backbone for the U.S. Fifth. Jebel Ali (Dubai) is the most frequented USN liberty port after Norfolk.
(S) The UAE leadership sees Iran as its primary external threat, and one that is existential in nature. (…) In other words, he sees the logic of war dominating the region, and this thinking explains his near obsessive efforts to build up the UAE's armed forces.
(S/NF) MbZ's main message to us during his September visit was that we needed to be better coordinated for Iran contingencies. High level engagement by CENTCOM planners have helped to address this concern, but he believes we have made less progress in addressing what he sees as the slow pace of deliveries of US security assistance and he is still worried that he does not have enough equipment in place to defend his people when war with Iran breaks out. (And for MbZ it is a matter of when, not if.) We have repeatedly presented to his staff the various explanations for what he perceives as delays, but he remains unconvinced that we are addressing his concerns as a matter of priority.
(S) (…) But MbZ runs hot and cold on Iraq. Sometimes he chooses to emphasize his supportive position; at other times he suggests that Iran has been the big winner in Iraq, and that Southern Iraq will be one of the major flashpoints in the upcoming confrontation with Iran. Anything you can say to reassure him about the US commitment to Iraqi stability will be helpful.
Saudis concerned on US credibility, Iran and Iraq - Mar 22 2009 (after the Cast Lead massacres in Gaza)
Abdullah said his one piece of advice was that restoring U.S. credibility in the world was critically important. Brennan responded that this was an important issue for President Obama as well.
(S) IN THE HANDS OF GOD AND IRAN: Brennan expressed the importance the U.S. attaches to achieving peace and stability in Iraq. The King replied that this was "in the hands of God," though he agreed that Iraq was vitally important to both the U.S. and Saudi Arabia. The King also pointed out that "some say the U.S. invasion handed Iraq to Iran on a silver platter; this after we fought Saddam Hussein."
