Tunisia: elections called for December under popular pressure

This means that the Enhada Islamist government is nearing its end. However PM M. Laridi has declared that he will lead the government until that day in spite of the strong popular and political pressure for his resignation.

That will allow the Islamists to end their one-sided constitution before general elections, although it is unclear if it will be approved by the Constitutional Assembly, where it requires 2/3 of the votes.
