Today 24 hrs. general strike in Portugal

Against injustices: change the policies.

Jobs, Salaries, Social Protection, Public Services.

My fear is anyhow that this is again an attempt to channel the deep anger of the working class, of the People, into controllable protests. The situation demands an indefinite general strike at EU level until the banks and other oligarchs are made to pay for their failures, and never the working class. If they proclaim themselves organizers of the productive forces, the least we can expect is that they assume their responsibility and their losses for the undue risks taken.

But that won't happen while Capitalism remains the ideological parameters of our societies and polities. We need a revolution and urgently so. However I must admit I do not expect anything of the like without previous organizational effort, which remains to be done.
