Western Basque police brutally charged against the nonviolent action to shield victim of political persecution Xabier Agirre in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
With no pretense of civility this time, they brutally beat the solidary citizens who formed a human wall around Xabier, who has a pending sentence of four months in prison.
Meanwhile the servile Western Basque Government seems only worried that these actions of nonviolent resistance may taint their image before the Basque and global society and have therefore asked the Spanish Inquisition to inform them in advance of arrest orders with the sole aim of preventing any solidary protest.

Update (May 19): Agirre surprisingly let free.
Hours after his violent arrest Xabier Agirre and a friend who was also arrested, Urko Arroyo, were let free by police without going through judge nor prison.
Not knowing the reasons, they speculate that they may not have received yet the arrest order.
In any case Agirre denounced the abuses of policemen, who threatened him with death:
