Miners cut major highway in Asturias

Quite impressive how they felled trees to make the barricades in a matter of minutes. Long no see images like these in Europe.

Coal miners are on permanent strike in protest against the budgetary cuts affecting their sector, which is largely dependent on public subsidies. The state has cut between 40% and 100% of diverse aids, effectively sentencing the sector to death and workers to unemployment. (Source: Público[es]).
