300 arrested in Oakland protests, which continue by peacefully besieging the Town Hall

Some 300 people were arrested yesterday in Oakland, California (USA), within a context of large protests intended to occupy a large building as social center (a revolutionary practice common in Europe but less so in the USA, where most squatting is private as far as I know).

At the moment of writing this entry the protest continued in festive mood before Oakland City Hall.
