Spain: two more fascist attacks on "Hispanity Day"

In Palencia (Castile) a group of fascists attacked a homosexual couple at the battle cry of "get them: they are faggots!" Thanks to citizen intervention and police arrival the damages of the attack could be limited. The same group of boneheads seems to have been harassing an old man before.

The attackers were identified and a denounce has been made. The lesions caused include face, skull, thorax and cervical vertebrae. It was lucky that they were not armed.

Communist beaten in Madrid

A member of the Communist Youths (UJCE) was attacked by seven facists wearing Falange uniforms, apparently drunk, beating him several times. The victim was attended at hospital for rib injuries and pain in one hand.

Both aggressions happened on October 12th, "Hispanity Day", one of the major chauvinist holidays of Spain. This kind of attacks have been growing quite worryingly in spite of the near zero support that outspokenly fascist parties get in elections (most of them vote "moderate" chauvinist options like PP or UPyD, and even make a substantial part of their militants, being outrageously tolerated by these parties).

Italy: anti-homophobia law depleted of meaning

The new anti-discrimination law passed on September 19th was amended so it lost almost any meaning. The original bill was meant to dissuade and repress homophobia and transphobia but the provisions against discrimination will not apply, after the amendment, to "organizations in the fields of politics, unions, culture, health care, education, religion or cults".

In other words: if you are a private citizen devoid of any affiliation you can be persecuted by acts of homophobia but, if you belong to any institution, be it political, religious or even public services, you will get away.

It just makes no sense whatsoever.

Haiti: Christian Fundamentalists lead homophobic terror campaign

Two homosexual persons were murdered in Haiti in the context of the Christian Fundamentalist campaign against gay marriage.

They are not the only victims, many other activists have received serious threats.

Cameroon: LGTB activist tortured and murdered

Eric Ohena Lembembe (pictured), journalist and LGTB activist, was murdered this weekend in Yaounde. His bloodied body was found in his home, apparently tortured to death: he showed signs of broken legs and neck, as well as burnings in face, hands and feet.

Eric was currently most active as director of the AIDS Foundation Cameroun (CAMFAIDS).

Neela Ghoshal (HRW) considered the government responsible for its inability to fight homophobia and hate crimes.

Basque Country: homophobic mayor warned by the authorities

The notoriously homophobic mayor of Arrangoitze (Northern Basque Country), Jean-Michel Colo (UPM), was warned by the French authorities of dire consequences if he did not abide by the law marrying a local gay couple, as he must (or alternatively a lieutenant-mayor can as well).

While the meeting of the mayor with the sub-prefect of Baiona took place, opposing groups of demonstrators concentrated nearby, almost clashing. Police intervened arresting one of the equal rights demonstrators (as usual the fascists have impunity).

After the meeting finished the fascist mayor declared his intention to continue with his unilateral homophobic attitude. He has a week to comply.

France: FEMEN action in Notre Dame: "May Fascism rest in Hell"

After an elderly fascist offered himself as human sacrifice in the weirdest homophobic action ever (and a totally anti-Christian stunt, it must be said), a member of the direct action feminist movement FEMEN has expressed what we all, people of good will, feel about that Nazi: may he be tortured in Hell forever and ever (sadly I do not believe in Hell, but it's a true pity that there's no such a place to make some justice for class A mass criminals like Hitler, Pinochet, Franco or Thatcher, just to cite a few).

The daring nonviolent activist, whose name is not yet known to me, in the usual topless style of this organization, carrying on her torso the legend "May Fascism rest in Hell", parodied the suicidal stunt of the fascist homophobe Venner.

FEMEN explained in their Facebook page that they "call for the death of Fascism in the same spot where far right activist Dominique Venner killed himself yesterday evening".

The daring activist, who was brutally arrested by police, also wore on her back the legend: "In Gay we trust".

Nazi alert at Lyon

Salvatore Cirincione wows to keep fighting against Fascism
Four attacks in a month!

First, a person was beaten in Lyon's center on November 17th within the context of an homophobic demonstration that gathered 100 idiots from a Nazi youth and a Catholic organization. Instead of arresting them all for inciting to hatred, 44 people taking part in a counter-demonstration were the ones taken by the police.

Then, in early December, three young Moroccan residents were ambushed near the Cathedral by members of a group that have their see there. One of the victims had to be brought to hospital.

On December 7th, members of a Nazi student union ambushed other students, sending three of them to hospital with diverse concussions by blunt objects.

On December 16th, an Italian political refugee (one of the few not extradited by Miterrand), Salvatore Cirincione, who suffers of a paralysis in half his face (80% handicap recognized), was ambushed by four people who jumped out of a car and beat him badly.

Salvatore nevertheless does not want to be considered a victim but the fighter he always was.

Chile: Nazi training camp denounced

Daniel Zamudio, murdered by Nazis in March
The Movement for the Integration and Liberation of Homosexuals (MovILH) has denounced[es] the existence of a training camp for a Nazi paramilitary unit in the South American country (video).

The same group has been recently involved in the profanation and destruction of Jewish tombs (photos).

The MovILH implies that they know the names of the people who appear in the videos and also of the fascist organization they are linked to but they have so far refrained from publishing the data because it has already been reported to the authorities and they lack of sufficiently detailed information.

Some of these nazis are probably behind the brutal murder of Daniel Zamudio earlier this year.

Institutional homophobic repression in the Fascist Russia of Putin

Russian LGTB activists and solidary people protested yesterday against the growing homophobia by the regime, which has approved local laws that forbid what they call "homosexual propaganda", i.e. the defense of the rights of homosexual people to live freely as anybody else.

Christian-Fascist groups attacked them and then police charged against everybody indiscriminately arresting as many as 40 people.

Russia and Moldova share the dubious honor of being the most homophobic states in Europe, according to the LGTB International Association. According to them Russia is closer to Iran than to the West in this aspect.

Nazi terror unleashed by Putin against LGTB activists

The Putin regime we must not forget is a fascist reactionary one with fundamentalist tendencies, one of the worst in Europe. On top of that it is ferociously homophobic and has declared illegal all kind of LGTB demonstrations, including the one on Thursday on the International Day Against Homophobia in St. Petersburg, which we will insist in calling Leningrad.

As result the dozens of protesters who dared to show up were corralled and intimidated by police, what did not impede them from giving balloons to passers-by.

However soon after a group of Christian Talibans carrying crosses issued death threats against the protesters and even managed to cross the police line and seriously injure some of the activists with a baseball bat.

After this attack the organizers evacuated the area in buses but the vehicle was attacked by Nazis, who threw smoke bombs and broke the windows with sticks and stones. They eventually invaded some of the transports where they attacked the LGTB activists until police and drivers managed to secure the situation.

At that point the Nazi gang attacked a nearby bus carrying some immigrant workers. Witnesses reported several gunshots although the information of this last incident is not clear because local authorities have not made any information public.

Honduran politician and journalist murdered

Erick Martínez Ávila, 32 (pictured), was found death on May 7th at a roadside between Olancho and Tegucigalpa. He had been reported missing two days before.

The body presented no obvious injuries, reason why it is speculated that he might have been killed by drowning. However nobody seems to doubt that he must have been murdered, considering the violently repressive Honduran context since the 2009 coup, which often ends in political murders, and the open and ample activist of the victim.

Erick Martínez was member of the National Front of Popular Resistance (FNRP) and pre-candidate by its electoral formation the Freedom and Refounding Party (LIBRE). He was also journalist, officer of the LGTB association Kukulcán, co-founder of the Movement for Diversity and Resistance (MDR) and activist of the political association Los Necios (The Fools).

Brief review of the latest fascist attacks in Chile and Catalan Countries

Daniel Zamudio (pictured), who was left in coma after a Nazi homophobic attack in Santiago de Chile died today in hospital at the age of 24 (··> SA[es]).

Albert M.G., 16, who was brutally attacked by  Nazis in Manresa (Catalonia) weeks ago, tells how he pretended to be dead and even visualized how bad he must look when he did. He has clear that the Nazi gang wanted to kill him (··> SA[cat]).

Security guards brutally beat communist youths in Valencia, when these were looking for places to put their general strike propaganda posters. When municipal police intervened the agents justified the guards' violence saying that the logical thing would have been to shoot them down, go figure! (··> SA[es]).

This is the situation: fascist death squads are every day more common and the next victim could be you or someone you love.

In coma after Nazi homophobic attack in Chile

Daniel Zamudio, 24, was attacked by fascists in the center of Santiago de Chile apparently on the pretext of his homosexual preferences.

He is struggling for his life at hospital, in coma. The Nazis did not just beat Daniel almost to death but they cut part of his ear and engraved swastikas on his skin.

He had been previously threatened and been victims of followings.

Lukashenko's homophobia

While there are still some confused minds in the so-called 'anti-imperialist left' (which is not left and doubtfully anti-imperialist but just a bunch of vocal and Cold War nostalgic neo-Stalinists) who would support any fascist tyrant claiming to oppose the "American Empire" and what not... these tyrants reveal themselves for what they really are with just paying some attention.

For example Belorussian dictator Alexander Lukashenko just declared in self-inculpatory statement that it is 'better to be dictator than gay'.

Really? I do not think so, Alex. Not only being gay is perfectly fine (neither better nor worse) but being a criminal dictator who squeezes the people has no justification whatsoever and, by a long justice tradition stemming at least from Francisco de Vitoria, deserves execution.

What we do not deserve in Europe is to have fascists like you, Alex. Hopefully this will be the last of your hurtful buffooneries.

Cables from the class war (Aug 4)

Spain: Protests continue

While the Puerta del Sol remains heavily guarded by police, 2000 people cut the Gran Via, the main street of Madrid, to traffic.
Today there is a demo from the Royal Palace starting at 12:00 (almost two hours ago, I have no info yet).

Tuesday demo in Madrid - video:

Alsace: dies last survivor of 'Gay Holocaust'

Rudolf Bradzda, German of Czech ancestry, was one of the many victims of Nazi homophobia. He died yesterday at the venerable age of 98 at Bantzenheim (Alsace).

Bradza was one of the many victims of Buchenwald, which, in spite of not being an extermination camp, saw some 25% of all inmates killed anyhow.

The pink triangle used by the Nazis to identify the homosexual victims of their paranoid persecution has become since then a symbol of Gay Pride.

Papua: thousands demand independence from Indonesia

10,000 demonstrators demanded independence for the western half of the island of Papua (New Guinea) which has been colonized by Indonesia since the Netherlands left.

Protesters demand a referendum and that international community acknowledge this as the decolonization and international problem it is.

The demonstration coalesced after a deadly massacre by either the Indonesian Army or their subservient death squads. The Indonesian occupants blame the independentist armed force Free Papua Movement (OPM).

A commander of the OPM denied the allegations, saying that they had ordered all cells to lay down their weapons and, in any case, that the OPM does not commit that kind of massacres:

Certain groups may accuse us of the shooting, but Papuans will never believe it. Papuans trust the OPM, he said.

Gay Pride demo at St. Petersburg violently repressed

It is in these occasions when we can see the actual quality of Russian pretense of democracy: the Gay Pride demo at St. Petersburg (former Leningrad) was violently repressed by police and Nazi squads.

The quality of democracy in Russia becomes evident when the victim of a Nazi attack, Alexander Sheremetyev, was arrested and his attacker was released soon after detention. Some 14 people were arrested, all them demonstrators for equal rights.
