The Catalan Parliament passed yesterday the Declaration of Sovereignty of the Catalan People, which states the right to self-determination.
The bill was passed with 85 votes in favor, 41 against and two abstentions (independentists unsatisfied with a too weak declaration). Five deputies who rejected to participate (members of PSC-PSOE who were in favor but were coerced to vote against), while two others who were absent for personal reasons.
