Two young Basques heading towards a protest at Logroño prison to demand the freedom of Arnaldo Otegi, leader of the Basque Nationalist Left, were ambushed by Spanish fascists at the roundabout of access to the prison, resulting injured.
The exact severity of the injuries is not known to me at the moment but they had to be brought to hospital in any case.
Otherwise some 200 people challenged the freezing weather to show their solidarity with Otegi and other political prisoners at Logroño prison. You can watch moments of this demonstration at the video below, including from min. 2:00 some folk and militant music.
Otegi was present in the action by means of a letter that was read in public. He said that we have not been born to resist but to win, and we will win.
